POSITION TITLE: YOUTH SERVICE CENTER COORDINATOR
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors in Social Work, Human Services or related field, preferred
Prior experience working in schools and/or human services field preferred
Must display initiative, leadership and possess strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Prior experience in grant writing, implementation and management preferred
REPORTS TO: Superintendent’s Designee
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees the daily operation of the Youth Service Center.
- Establishes and maintains a formative, ongoing program evaluation to ensure programming meets all required core components.
- Consults and collaborates with school and community personnel in assembling information on available services and disseminating this information to the community at large.
- Collaborates with building and district leadership to design and promote the center and services provided and to recruit participants.
- Researches and pursues the availability of outside sources of funding.
- Assists in developing ways of involving parents in the affairs of the school and community and coordinating volunteers for programming and center operations.
- Consults with school personnel and the community at large to identify appropriate interventions, supports and programming to access for family supports.
- Collaborates with appropriate school and district staff to conduct home visits and case management for families to assist in developing and implementing an intervention plan that will best meet the needs of students and families.
- Attends all required trainings and meetings by the district and state.
- Keeps complete up-to-date and accurate records as required by law, policy and administrative regulation.
- Assists in crafting and carrying out the district wide vision and mission for all students and families.
- Works in conjunction with the Family Resource Center and other personnel to serve families of all ages, especially when transitioning from one building to the next.
- Performs related duties, as required, in performing assigned responsibilities.
- Performs various duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
- Adheres to all district and school policies and procedures.
