What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Technician position at Bellevue Healthcare II, Inc?
FUNCTION: To safely deliver and pick up equipment to and from our patients while keeping in mind that our drivers are the primary face of Bellevue Healthcare. The delivery technician must ensure that every customer he/she comes in contact with knows how to safely operate our equipment, and is thoroughly satisfied and impressed with Bellevue Healthcare’s service.
The delivery technician’s duties include but are not limited to:
1. Ensure that all clean equipment is stocked for delivery
2. Make sure warehouse is clean and orderly day to day
3. Disinfect and clean dirty equipment
4. Perform daily deliveries including set up, service, and/or pickup
5. Interact with customers including direct contact and communication of equipment and services
6. Maintain necessary paperwork for deliveries and equipment history
7. Call and maintain contact with BHC throughout the day as problems/changes to different stops arise
8. Safely operate company vehicles
9. Protect oneself in field by wearing gloves, mask, and gown as situationally needed
10. Disinfect equipment that is picked up when placed in the truck as needed and when placed in the dirty area at the end of the day
11. Clean/maintain company vehicles, property, and equipment
12. Protect BHC’s electronic devices in the field including company phone and GPS unit
13. Lock all van doors every time they’re leaving the van during deliveries, breaks, and end of day
14. Comply with HIPAA regulations by keeping all patient information and paperwork secure
Qualifications:
1. Must be highly motivated, organized, and detail oriented
2. Must be able to lift over 50 lbs
3. Must have great communication skills, both oral and written
4. Must have college education or 3+ years related experience
5. Must have current Drivers License
