Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
- Perform intake procedures, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians and maintain accurate records of medication administration.
- Utilize EHR systems to manage patient information and maintain accurate documentation of encounters.
- Conduct basic life support measures when necessary and respond to emergencies in accordance with protocols.
- Support the clinic's operations by performing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and processing insurance claims.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and other relevant medical practices to ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller's needs yourself
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) or Non-Certified Medical Assistant - required
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient service principles and commitment to delivering compassionate care.
- Proficiency in using EHR systems for documentation and patient management.
- Knowledge of basic life support techniques and ability to perform vital sign assessments accurately.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
