What are the responsibilities and job description for the TRIAGE - Medical Assistant position at BELLEVUE FAMILY PRACTICE, P.C?
We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable certified medical assistant to perform various office and clinical duties to keep our healthcare practice running efficiently. The job includes significant amounts of multi-tasking, but the ideal candidate will be extremely detail-oriented and possesses in-depth knowledge of patient care procedures. We are looking for a professional who believes that patients should be treated as people rather than numbers in a file, and who understands the value of compassionate service.
Responsibilities:
- Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller's needs yourself
- Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and PA availability
- Record patient information such as vital signs and changes in medical history
- Administer injections by following written and verbal instructions and document doses in patient's EMR
- Communicate with the Providers and relay messages to patients based off of the Provider's notes
- Other duties as assigned by clinical protocols
- Uphold all health and safety standards
- Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
Skills:
- Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - preferred
- 1 years of experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital (but not required)
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
