POSITION: Event Representative - Part Time
REPORTS TO: Destination Services Manager
DEPARTMENT: Visitor Experience
CLASSIFICATION: Part Time non-exempt HOURS: Hourly (4 hours per shift)
COMPENSATION: $25 per hour
Position Overview:
Visit Bellevue is seeking a part-time team member to assist with event and welcome center activation support throughout 2026. This is a part time position supporting the mobile welcome center representative with visitor services. The mobile welcome center is an electric vehicle that travels to various events to provide and welcome to visitors along with information and resources. We are seeking someone who can provide dynamic, friendly, and engaging support, that enjoys interacting with the public and can educate the public about Bellevue and Visit Bellevue’s visitor programs(transportation, tours, dining, nightlife). This role requires an understanding of Bellevue and the surrounding areas and a key interest in shaping a positive visitor experience.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with mobile welcome center setup, activation, and general support during assigned and peak event days.
• Welcome visitors and event attendees and provide them with assistance on visitor information and recommendations.
• Help provide materials, signage, and logistics for mobile welcome center activations and events.
• Must be comfortable operating the selfie station line and helping guest answer questions.
• Ability to gather surveys from the event attendees on an ongoing basis.
• Represent Visit Bellevue in a professional and inclusive manner.
Qualifications:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Background in hospitality / customer service preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekend shifts.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive, public facing mindset.
• Must become a Certified Tourism Ambassador with Visit Bellevue.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee, with or without reasonable accommodation, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this contractor role, the independent contract is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel or operate objects, tools, controls, and to reach hands and arms. This role requires frequent standing for extended periods of time as well as bending and stooping, talking, and hearing. This role also requires the ability to drive and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
