La Forge Casino Restaurant is seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our culinary team. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to La Forge recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines
- Set up and stock assigned stations with necessary supplies and ingredients
- Ensure food quality, taste, and consistency during service
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
- Communicate effectively with chefs and kitchen team members to ensure smooth service
- Assist with food prep, plating, and special menu items as needed
- Properly store food, label items, and minimize waste
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
Experience Required
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working as a line cook or in a professional kitchen environment
- Experience preparing dishes during high-volume service preferred
- Familiarity with sauté & grill station required
- Prior experience in a casual-upscale or fine dining restaurant environment preferred but not required
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
