Responsibilities
- Travel to the homes of the students in the Belleville and surrounding area.
- Design and implement comprehensive piano curricula tailored to individual student needs, skill levels, and learning styles
- Deliver engaging lessons that incorporate technical skills, music theory, sight-reading, and expressive playing
- Manage lesson dynamics effectively to ensure a respectful, motivating, and productive environment
- Provide additional support to students requiring extra assistance or specialized instruction
- Incorporate diverse teaching methods including lesson planning, performance preparation, and creative exercises
- Track student progress regularly and communicate feedback to students and parents or guardians when appropriate
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, music theory, and performance techniques
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to motivate learners of all ages
- Experience working with children, early childhood education, preschoolers, or special education is highly desirable
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for adult learners or those with unique learning needs
