Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality kennel care by cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining animal enclosures to promote health and hygiene
- Assist with animal handling, restraint, and basic veterinary procedures such as medication administration under supervision
- Support veterinary technicians and veterinarians with animal husbandry tasks including feeding, bathing, and monitoring vital signs
- Help manage pet intake and discharge processes at the front desk, ensuring accurate record-keeping and communication
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques while ensuring their comfort and safety during examinations or treatments
- Maintain detailed records of medication administration, treatments, and observations in compliance with clinic protocols
- Support laboratory tasks such as sample collection or processing to aid in diagnostic procedures
Qualifications
- Prior kennel experience or animal care background preferred; strong animal handling skills are essential
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques highly desirable
- Experience with pet care routines including feeding, grooming, restraint, and medication administration
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and pet owners
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures or veterinary clinic operations is a plus
