L1MA – Memory Care

Hours/Shifts:
- 7:00pm – 7:00am, Rotating Schedule
- Flexibility to work weekends is required
Principal Responsibilities:
- Administer medications accurately and safely under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
- Monitor residents for medication side effects and report any concerns promptly
- Provide direct care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Support residents with cognitive impairments using patience, empathy, and effective communication techniques
- Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and resident care
- Assist in creating a calm, structured, and engaging environment tailored to memory care needs
- Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies
- Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality care
Requirements:
- Current Missouri Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA) certification in good standing
- Must be recognized by DHSS.
- Active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) preferred.
- Experience in long-term or memory care strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and behavioral interventions is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
