Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician, Either an E1 or E2 with the capability of dealing with Homeowners/ Business Owners & Builders & the ability to work with an Apprentice on daily basis. Work would be 75% residential & 25% light commercial.
Duties
- Install, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems in new construction, renovations, and maintenance projects using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts.
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring proper installation and safety protocols are followed.
- Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and verify system integrity.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation processes.
- Collaborate with construction teams, including frame carpenters and general contractors, to coordinate electrical work seamlessly within the project timeline.
- Conduct inspections of electrical installations to ensure compliance with NEC standards and safety regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance on existing electrical systems and upgrade outdated wiring or components during renovation projects.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals for precise installation and troubleshooting procedures.
- Demonstrate maintenance person skills when addressing miscellaneous repair needs on-site or assisting with related construction tasks.
Experience
- Experience in residential, light commercial, remodels, reworks, and service calls.
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
