What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packaging and Cellar Technician Job position at Belleflower Brewing Company?
Belleflower is seeking a full-time production team member to assist primarily with packaging duties, but also including cellar work and warehousing. This position will be scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, across our two production facilities in Portland and South Portland.
Duties:
- Operate canning and bottling machines
- Package finished beer into kegs
- Operate keg washer
- Assist with cellar duties, including tank CIPs, product transfers, and yeast management
- Warehousing packaging materials and finished product, including use of forklift (Belleflower will provide training)
- Loading and unloading pallets from tractor trailers
- Maintain production floor cleanliness
- Record quality control data
Desired Qualifications and Abilities:
- Previous experience operating packaging equipment
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift up to 60lbs unassisted, frequently
- Ability to stand for prolonged amount of time
- Mechanically minded and great attention to detail
- Must be safety conscious and able to work efficiently in a busy, close quartered environment
- Ability to safely handle hazardous chemicals in accordance with strict safety protocols
- Demonstrated passion for craft beer
