Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cashiering duties with accuracy using proper cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Follow food safety standards and food handling protocols to ensure high-quality service and compliance
- Assist in food preparation and serving snacks or light meals as needed during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the café, and lift light equipment or supplies as needed
- Experience in the food industry or retail environment is advantageous but not required; a willingness to learn is essential
