Hiring Head of Marketing

About the Company

A SaaS company serving entrepreneurs, creators, and online businesses is hiring a Head of Marketing to own acquisition strategy and implementation across a large, highly engaged existing audience. The company's core product is software, with coaching and certification programs built around it, and marketing is viewed as the single biggest lever for continued, profitable growth.

We're looking for a Head of Marketing who can see the big picture vision and create a marketing plan with execution direction — roughly 40-50% strategy, 50-60% implementation with the team. You'll be working with established efforts, an active customer base, and inbound leads, and saying "here's how we turn this into more revenue," then building the plan that gets it done.

This position reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), working closely with them to set the strategy, then relying on you to oversee the execution — you own how it gets built, launched, and measured.

Culture & Expectations

The company plans quarterly with six-week sprints and moves fast — if you like long planning cycles and slow rollouts, this isn't the environment. The marketing team is slim, fully remote, leaning heavily on AI and automation to scale execution without scaling headcount, and is scrappy about testing new acquisition ideas rather than waiting for certainty.

The culture is genuinely positive, relaxed in attire while being driven and motivated to scale. It's a place where growth and marketing knowledge run deep, and you get to work with and support some of the top marketers in the industry.

Our Core Values:

  • Positivity — how you show up sets the tone for the team
  • Ownership — bring the plan, don't wait for the brief
  • Speed — six-week execution sprints, fast iteration
  • Patience & professionalism — navigating communications internally and externally with a professional, emotionally intelligent approach

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Work with the CRO on big-picture strategy, then present the plans, ensure product-market fit, create new hooks and ideas, develop webinar campaigns, and own the best ways to retarget the customer base while optimizing conversions for warm and cold leads.
  • Meet with the CRO twice a week, ensure alignment on strategy and the budget they set, then see the projects through with your team's support and ongoing optimization.
  • Track and share results on a weekly basis, pivoting based on performance.
  • Own acquisition strategy supporting paid, organic, and audience reactivation — the company has a substantial existing database of leads, active subscribers, and past customers, plus a steady flow of new monthly inbound leads.
  • Build, launch, track, and execute marketing campaigns: webinars, cold traffic, warm-lead follow-up, retargeting, and always-on evergreen acquisition funnels.
  • Collaborate with the CRO on big-picture strategy, then independently direct how that strategy gets built and executed across the team.
  • Direct a small internal team (copywriter, social media, AOS, affiliate marketing, paid media agency, and similar).
  • Use AI tools and internal agentic workflows as a standard part of how campaigns get planned and executed.
  • Work with existing marketing data (ad platforms, CRM/attribution) to sharpen decisions, understanding the data gets harder to trust the deeper you go into the funnel.
  • Evaluate whether a brand refresh makes sense as growth initiatives mature.

Desired Outcomes

First 30 Days — Understand & Assess
Get up to speed on the business, the team, current campaigns, and the state of marketing data and tracking. Meet regularly with the CRO to understand context, constraints, and opportunity. Request what you need to execute and prepare the growth execution plan for review.

Days 31-60 — Confirm the Plan & Execute
Confirm the growth plan with the CRO and initiate execution, focusing on the biggest levers across the existing list, active subscribers, and inbound lead flow. Begin managing or launching your first campaigns.

Days 61-90 — Execution & Ownership
Full ownership of live campaigns — webinars, cold traffic, warm-lead nurture, and retargeting — with a regular reporting cadence in place.

Beyond 90 Days
Own the acquisition roadmap with strategy and execution, including implementing AI-driven workflows to optimize output. Performance-based bonus program initiated.

Candidate Qualities

  • Proven track record owning acquisition strategy — not just executing someone else's brief, but a part of strategy and execution — ideally for a SaaS, info-product, or online-business brand.
  • Comfortable operating with high autonomy in a marketing-heavy business: brings direction, offers, hooks, and campaign ideas rather than waiting to be told what to build.
  • Strong grasp of the full acquisition funnel — webinars, cold traffic, warm-lead nurture, retargeting, and always-on evergreen campaigns.
  • AI-forward — using AI tools as a default part of the workflow.
  • Data-minded — comfortable working across ad platform and CRM data even when it's imperfect, letting data drive marketing recommendations.
  • Leadership — experience directing a small, lean team and briefing outside paid media, social, or ops functions.
  • Traditional or digital-marketing background both welcome — what matters most is demonstrated ability to run the acquisition process end to end, not a specific pedigree or degree.
  • Professional, positive, and patient communicator who can navigate an indirect internal culture and present themselves professionally.
  • Open to travel as needed for company or industry events.

Some additional experience that would be beneficial...

  • Experience marketing a SaaS service/coaching hybrid offer.
  • Experience at a fast-moving, founder-influenced company operating on quarterly planning and short sprints.
  • Comfortable operating in a similar space to well-known creator/SaaS platforms.

Compensation, Availability & Bonuses

  • Compensation: $145,000-$200,000/year base (target $150,000-$185,000, open to negotiate for the right fit) performance-based incentives.
  • Benefits: After a 90-day trial, potential for W2 with full benefits.
  • Schedule: Full-time, fully remote. Meaningful overlap with North American business hours preferred. Weekly rhythm includes about 10-15 hours of meetings with the team per week.
  • Growth Opportunities: Direct partnership with the CRO, ownership of one of the company's biggest growth levers, and the ability to shape acquisition strategy for a well-known SaaS product in the marketing space.
