Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Children's Swim Instructors to join our vibrant aquatic education team. This role involves teaching children essential swimming skills in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children, strong swimming abilities, and experience in coaching or teaching physical activities. Duties
- Conduct swimming lessons tailored to children of various skill levels, ensuring safety and enjoyment
- Develop lesson plans that incorporate fundamental swimming techniques and water safety practices
- Monitor and supervise children during lessons to maintain a safe environment
- Use behavior management techniques to encourage positive participation and cooperation
- Provide individualized feedback to help students improve their swimming skills
- Assist with setting up equipment and maintaining cleanliness of the pool area
- Engage children in fun, age-appropriate activities that promote physical activity and water confidence
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent lesson quality and safety standards
Qualifications
- Prior lifeguard experience or certification is preferred
- Experience in sports coaching, teaching, or childcare is highly desirable
- Knowledge of swimming, martial arts (such as Karate or Judo), cheerleading, climbing, or other physical education disciplines is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children and parents
- Ability to manage behavior positively and maintain a safe environment
- Experience working with students in educational or recreational settings is advantageous
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred but not required; training can be provided for qualified candidates
- Passion for teaching children, promoting health, fitness, and water safety
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2.0 per week
