What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Groundskeeper position at Bella Vista Inn Sunset Bay Resort?
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Groundskeeper to help maintain the appearance and cleanliness of our motel property in beautiful Caseville on Lake Huron. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in keeping grounds clean and attractive, and can assist with general property maintenance throughout the season.
Responsibilities:
- Mow lawns, trim grass, edge sidewalks, and maintain landscaping
- Plant and care for flowers, shrubs, and garden beds
- Pick up litter and keep grounds, parking lots, and beach/common areas clean
- Sweep walkways and maintain outdoor furniture and guest areas
- Operate landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, weed trimmers, blowers, and power washers
- Help with seasonal opening and closing duties
- Remove branches, leaves, and storm debris as needed
- Assist other departments with outdoor setup and general labor tasks when needed
Qualifications:
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic knowledge of lawn care and landscaping equipment
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance experience preferred but not required
Schedule:
- Seasonal, full-time or part-time positions available
- Weekend and holiday availability may be required during peak summer season
- Opportunity for seasonal returning employment
