Heavy Equipment Operator
Bella Mulch – Hardeeville, SC
Bella Mulch is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support our land clearing, grinding, and mulch production operations. This is a hands-on, production-focused role with a clear path to a Lead Operator / Foreman position.
We are looking for someone who can run equipment, maintain it, and take ownership of the job site.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators (loading, land clearing, material handling)
- Run wheel loaders for production, stockpiling, and truck loading
- Operate or assist with tub grinders / grinding equipment
- Load trucks and maintain efficient material flow
- Perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance (greasing, fluids, wear parts)
- Identify mechanical issues early and communicate with management
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work both at our yard and offsite job locations
Qualifications
- 3 years experience operating heavy equipment (excavator loader required)
- Grinding experience preferred (tub grinder, horizontal grinder, etc.)
- Strong understanding of equipment maintenance and upkeep
- Ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and production-driven
- Leadership experience or desire to grow into a foreman role
- Mechanical aptitude is a strong plus
