Position Summary:
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and motivated Spanish speaking caregiver Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in New Haven, CT. The caregiver/DSP will provide hands-on assistance, support daily living activities, and help individuals achieve personal goals according to their individualized care plans.
(Note: The client has dogs at home.)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and supervision to individuals in their homes and community settings.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, dressing, and mobility.
- Support individuals in community integration, recreation, and skill-building activities.
- Promote independence and encourage personal growth.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and families.
- Follow all Bella Home Care and DDS (Department of Developmental Services) policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required — we will train the right candidate.
- Must be spanish speaking.
- Previous experience with working in group homes is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required).
- Must be dependable, patient, and compassionate.
- Ability to pass background checks and all required clearances.
Schedule:
- Part-time and full-time positions available.

Compensation:
- Starting $17.50 per hour, depending on experience.
