Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Home Care Scheduler to join our dedicated healthcare team. Duties
- Develop and maintain efficient schedules for home care providers, balancing client needs and caregiver availability using advanced scheduling software such as Sandata, Wellsky and Therap.
- Communicate regularly with clients, caregivers, and healthcare teams to confirm appointments, address scheduling conflicts, and adapt to changing care requirements.
- Utilize HR sourcing techniques through Wellsky and ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) like iCIMS or PeopleSoft to recruit and onboard new caregivers as needed.
- Negotiate shift times and responsibilities with caregivers to ensure optimal coverage while respecting their preferences and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate onboarding processes including employee orientation, training & development sessions, and contract management to ensure compliance with employment & labor law.
- Maintain accurate records of schedules, employee evaluations, and employee relations documentation within HRIS platforms such as UltiPro or ADP.
- Conduct research on staffing trends and utilize social media management tools for lead generation to attract qualified talent.
- Manage relationships with internal teams through effective communication skills, ensuring alignment on staffing plans and operational goals.
- Stay informed about employment law updates and best practices in talent management to ensure compliance across all scheduling activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in scheduling within healthcare or human resources environments, with strong knowledge of HR sourcing, talent acquisition, and recruiting strategies.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to communicate clearly across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with scheduling software such as Workday, Kronos, UltiPro, or Taleo; experience with ATS platforms like iCIMS or PeopleSoft is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of employment & labor law principles relevant to home care staffing and employee contracts.
- Strong research skills for talent sourcing via social media management tools and lead generation techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in record-keeping and documentation.
