Key Responsibilities
- Review federal, state, and local tax returns for accuracy and compliance (multi-state experience is a plus).
- Review financial statements and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential tax savings.
- Represent clients before the IRS and other tax authorities.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Stay current with tax law changes and assess their implications for clients.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients; address inquiries and build strong, lasting client relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Active CPA or EA license required.
- 7 years of recent experience in public accounting, including tax preparation and review.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Advanced knowledge of debits/credits, account reconciliations, and tax planning strategies.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
