Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors
- Follow food safety protocols and handle ingredients with care to ensure cleanliness and hygiene
- Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on culinary best practices
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by regularly cleaning utensils, surfaces, and equipment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
- Adhere strictly to food handling regulations and safety standards during all stages of food production
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly preferred
- Demonstrated culinary experience with proficiency in knife skills, slicing techniques, and food preparation methods
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
