Residential HVAC Service Technician

What You’ll Do 

As a Residential HVAC Service Technician, you are responsible for identifying, diagnosing, troubleshooting, analyzing, and repairing issues pertaining to Bell’s customers’ HVAC systems. 

You always inspect and ensure that HVAC systems work efficiently to fulfill Bell’s customers’ satisfaction, safety, and comfort.

Essential Job Duties 

• Carry out mechanical and electrical inspection and maintenance on equipment to bring them to optimal performance 
• Perform oiling, belt adjustment, cleaning of equipment, greasing, and other specific preventive maintenance work 
• Determine service requirements by applying technical skills and experience, including system operations and preventive maintenance experience 
• Serve as a company representative to other contractors, owners, and trades 
• Give preventive maintenance inspections performed to representative/owner and suggest corrective actions to be applied 
• Offer guidance on additional services to customers that may be beneficial to them 
• Complete and submit needed paperwork in a timely manner to the service coordinator 
• Perform other functions that may be assigned by management 

Minimum Job Requirements: 

• Possess a minimum of five years’ residential HVAC experience 
• EPA certification 
• Ability to pass a drug and background check for criminality 
• Ability to work work overtime 
• Strong mechanical aptitude 
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean record of driving 
• Ability to lift heavy items weighing safely 
• Strong ability to operate in heat and cold for a long period of time 
• Ability to climb, stoop, balance, crouch, crawl, or/and kneel continually
