We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.

Operations Support Team
Join the Operations Support Team and help drive the success of Bell’s manufacturing and planning operations.
This team plays a critical role in ensuring efficient workflows, seamless integration of process planning activities, and alignment with operational priorities.
As a Leader, Planning, you’ll oversee union personnel, collaborate with site leadership, and ensure the execution of process planning that meets Bell’s high standards for quality, cost control, and schedule adherence.
Your leadership will directly contribute to Bell’s ability to deliver innovative aircraft solutions to customers around the world.

What you’ll be doing as a Planning Operations Manager:
- Lead a team of union personnel deployed to a designated Center, ensuring day-to-day planning activities are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborate with the Site Lead for Operations Support to align process planning tasks with operational priorities and resolve challenges as they arise.
- Plan, schedule, and assign work to personnel in the group, ensuring completion of tasks per schedule and maintaining efficiency.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of process planning documents, work instructions, and process orders.
- Interface with manufacturing operations to ensure smooth workflows and address production issues.
- Provide regular updates to the Senior Manager of Planning on team performance and progress.
- Coordinate the activities of the process Planning team with other groups, departments, and personnel across the company.
- Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to team members, ensuring they stay current with the latest technologies and practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years experience in manufacturing and/or relative supervisory experience in an aerospace/manufacturing industry is required.
- Proven ability to lead and effectively manage both salaried engineers and union personnel, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Inquisitive and driven individual with a passion for innovation and leadership.
- Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft manufacturing processes, including process planning and optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize work and adapt to dynamic operational environments.
- Maintain effective relationships with site leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams, including Engineering/Manufacturing/Quality Groups and be a skilled communicator capable of championing a cause and building collaboration for improvement initiatives.
- Work in partnership with Planning Parts Processes team to execute part producibility assessments, implement policies and procedures, apply digital resources and deploy training on new systems.
- Experience with GD&T/Aerospace tolerances and CAD/CAM tools, ensuring technical accuracy in planning outputs is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, budgets, and quality standards to meet organizational objectives.
