Aftermarket Product Manager
This position supports the development of aftermarket aircraft products at Aeronautical Accessories from concept to launch, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure technical, regulatory, and market alignment. It involves strategic planning, business case creation, market analysis, and lifecycle management to deliver certified, customer-focused solutions that drive growth in the aviation aftermarket.
What you’ll be doing as a Aftermarket Product Manager
- Lead and manage the development process for new aftermarket aircraft products from concept to launch.
- Host New Product Development Monthly meetings.
- Compose business cases - manage input of NRE from engineering and market data from sales, estimate manufacturing cost
- Maintain NP concepts through the approval process until active project is initiated by Engineering
- Work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, finance, and regulatory teams to ensure seamless product development and launch.
- Participate in design reviews and obtain/provide manufacturing inputs.
- Conduct or coordinate technical market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, competitive products, product roadmaps & IR&D priorities.
- Conduct periodic Market Segment Strategic Gap Analysis.
- Monitor the design, testing, and certification of new products, ensuring they meet industry standards, customer expectations, and business case assumptions (schedule, cost, & sales).
- Manage the First Article through manufacturing and conformity process.
- Formulate short- & long-term product strategies to include product lifecycle management (new, sustaining, and ending).
- Analyze product performance (volume, margin, pricing).
- Manage/monitor pending obsolescence’s that could impact our customers.
- Identify gaps that can be filled by new products.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, milestones, and any potential issues.
- Annual review of previous business cases to measure performance to targets and expectations.
- Travel 10% of the time

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, aerospace engineering, or equivalent related experience
- 10 years of professional experience in aerospace product development or equivalent related
- Working knowledge of aviation/manufacturing operations with in depth knowledge of aftermarket products
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and continuous improvement software/tools.
- Experience in engineering or aftermarket sales
- Familiarity with rotorcraft products or aviation industry experience
- Familiarity with FAA regulations
- Six Sigma: Green Belt Certified
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks
- Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues
- You’ll be off every other Friday with our 9/80 work schedule
