Job Description: Lead Technician

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Technician to join our team. This position is designed for a dedicated individual with expertise in performing major repairs independently. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capability to mentor less skilled technicians.

Key Responsibilities

· Major Repairs: Perform complex and major repairs on a variety of equipment and machinery without supervision. This includes diagnostics, parts replacement, and ensuring that all repairs meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

· Communicate Effectively: Collaborate with the service writer to ensure that all work is documented accurately and that customers are informed about the status of their repairs. Maintain clear and concise communication to avoid misunderstandings and ensure customer satisfaction.

· Troubleshooting Assistance: Assist less skilled technicians with diagnosing issues and troubleshooting problems. Provide guidance and support to enhance their skills and ensure that repairs are completed efficiently and correctly.

· Quality Control: Oversee the work of other technicians to ensure that all repairs meet company standards. Conduct quality control checks to verify that repairs are performed correctly and that all safety protocols are followed.

· Mentorship: Serve as a mentor to junior technicians, offering training and support to help them develop their skills. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment where team members can learn and grow.

· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed. Ensure that all paperwork is completed correctly and submitted in a timely manner.

· Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and advancements in repair techniques and technology. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

· Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Ensure that the work environment is safe for all team members and that all repairs are performed in accordance with safety standards.

Qualifications

· Proven experience as a Lead Technician or similar role.

· Expertise in performing major repairs independently.

· Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to mentor and train less skilled technicians.

· Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

· Proficiency in using repair tools and equipment.

· Solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures.

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred.
