Responsibilities
- Perform general dentistry procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, RCT, crowns, dentures, extractions and implants with precision and care.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, dental charts, and radiographs to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and post-procedure instructions clearly to patients.
- Administer oral surgery procedures such as dental extractions and root canal therapy while maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal care delivery.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and update electronic health records using practice management software like Opendental.
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and ensure safety standards are met.
Requirements
- Valid state dental license with eligibility to practice as an Associate Dentist.
- Proven experience in general dentistry, with additional skills in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, or oral surgery considered a plus.
- Familiarity with dental office software such as Opendental for charting and record management.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and medical imaging techniques.
- Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other complex procedures confidently.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to pediatric patients when necessary.
- Commitment to infection control standards and aseptic techniques in all clinical procedures.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience handling medical documentation accurately.
