Overview
Seeking heavy equipment service technician for machinery and equipment used for roadway paving and runway construction on military installations and federal highway construction projects. The service technician will be responsible for performing general repairs and basic maintenance on various vehicles and equipment used in the field. The service technician is expected to complete all duties and responsibilities with reasonable accommodations if necessary. Bell Contracting Inc does not pay for relocation expenses.
Duties
- Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts.
- Prioritize and work on equipment needing immediate attention.
- Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion.
- Conduct field visits in case of an emergency or sudden breakdown.
- Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipts.
- Performs work with little or no direct supervision
- Work harmoniously with others at all times.
- Follow directions and instructions from supervisors.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have past technician/mechanic experience.
- Must have a valid Real ID CDL.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
