Mission: The Sales Planning Manager & National Accounts role assists in managing all aspects of trade/promotional spending and strategic customer development for Bell-Carter Foods. This role is part of the sales team and works closely with the field team on planning, budgeting, and executing trade and promotional spending. This role has ownership in the process of identifying and implementing improvements in the use of the trade tools/systems and looking for ways that we can maximize our trade spending effectiveness, while also managing some customers.

Position Requirements
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; field of study is open (Business/Marketing, preferred), with emphasis on transferable skills and experience.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Sales Strategy, Trade Marketing or Sales Planning, within a Consumer Packaged Goods company.
- Proficient in managing TPM systems.
Skills/Knowledge/Ability:
- Ability to work cross functionally with all departments and comfortable working with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to mine multiple data sources, find insights, and provide recommendations.
- Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities, and implement solutions with little direction.
- Strong planning and organization skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication both written and verbal.
- Experience working with retailer customers, brokers, and distributors.
- Must be able to confidently and effectively present insights and strategic recommendations to Senior Leadership Team, Sales & Marketing, Customers, etc.
- Ability to manage key accounts, which may include, Grocery Outlet, Drug, Alternate Channels, etc.
- Must be able to travel domestic and international, 15 – 25% of the time.
