Bell Camper Sales – Bartlesville, Oklahoma

Expected compensation: $80,000–$90,000 per year

Bell Camper Sales is seeking an experienced, organized, and customer-focused Service Manager to lead our Bartlesville service department. Since 1967, our family-owned dealership has built its reputation on honest service, quality work, and taking care of RV owners.

The Service Manager is responsible for the daily performance of the department, including technician productivity, work-order progress, customer satisfaction, warranty administration, quality control, profitability, and team development.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can keep a busy shop organized, hold employees accountable, solve problems, and create an excellent experience for our customers.

Compensation

  • $14.00 per hour base pay
  • Monthly bonus equal to 9% of service department gross profit after payroll expenses
  • Expected total annual compensation of approximately $80,000–$90,000 based on department performance
  • Strong earning potential for a manager who grows sales, controls expenses, and improves productivity

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily meetings to review open repair orders, customer appointments, problem tickets, parts needs, and job progress
  • Walk the shop throughout the day to ensure technicians and lot personnel remain productive
  • Assign work according to technician experience, skill level, and availability
  • Track technician hours, efficiency, productivity, and completed work
  • Keep repair orders moving and address jobs that have stalled or are taking too long
  • Ensure customers receive timely and accurate updates throughout the repair process
  • Handle escalated customer concerns professionally and work toward fair, timely resolutions
  • Oversee pre-delivery inspections, repairs, and demonstrations for new and used RV deliveries
  • Make sure completed repairs receive a thorough quality-control inspection before customer pickup
  • Ensure RVs and work areas are clean and ready before customers are contacted
  • Oversee warranty claims, manufacturer approvals, documentation, and warranty-parts organization
  • Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and parts suppliers
  • Work closely with the Parts Manager to manage special orders, backorders, and parts availability
  • Monitor labor sales, department expenses, pricing, gross profit, and overall financial performance
  • Track performance indicators such as technician efficiency, customer satisfaction, open work orders, and warranty turnaround time
  • Develop and maintain service-department procedures and standards
  • Train, coach, and hold service personnel accountable
  • Assist with hiring, scheduling, time sheets, performance management, and staffing decisions
  • Enforce OSHA requirements and maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop
  • Ensure accurate use of the dealership management system for repair orders, parts, billing, and reporting
  • Prepare the department for seasonal workloads and emergency repairs for traveling RV owners
  • Secure the shop at closing and ensure the department is prepared for the following day

Service Priorities

The Service Manager will organize work using the following priorities:

  • Pre-delivery inspections, repairs, and demonstrations for sold new and used RVs
  • Preparation of newly arrived inventory
  • Warranty work for customers who purchased from Bell Camper Sales
  • Retail service work, including travelers needing emergency repairs
  • Warranty work for RVs purchased elsewhere

Customer deliveries are the service department’s highest priority. Quality control on completed repairs is the second-highest priority.

Qualifications

  • Previous service-management, shop-management, automotive, equipment, marine, or RV-industry experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and employee-management skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Comfortable managing multiple repair orders and competing priorities
  • Ability to review department financial results and understand gross profit
  • Strong customer-service and conflict-resolution skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable learning and using dealership management software
  • Working knowledge of warranty processes, repair documentation, and shop safety
  • Ability to coach employees, set expectations, and hold the team accountable
  • Willingness to learn every major role within the service and parts departments and assist when needed
  • RV experience is helpful, but strong management experience in a related service industry will also be considered

What Success Looks Like

The successful Service Manager will build a service department that is organized, profitable, responsive, and capable of operating efficiently without constant oversight. Employees should understand their responsibilities, customers should receive regular communication, work orders should move steadily toward completion, and completed repairs should meet our quality standards.

If you are a hands-on leader who enjoys improving operations, developing employees, solving customer concerns, and building a high-performing service department, we would like to hear from you.
