We are partnering with an established, faith-based nonprofit organization seeking a Senior Finance Assistant to join its team! What You'll Be Doing

• Manage payroll processing, including multiple payroll schedules.
• Assist with domestic and international payroll activities.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end accounting activities.
• Support payroll tax compliance and reporting.
• Handle cash receipts, accounts receivable, and corporate credit card reconciliations.
• Research and resolve accounting and payroll discrepancies.
• Assist with annual audits and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with a supportive finance team and contribute to process improvements.

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Solid accounting knowledge, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
• Understanding of payroll taxes and compliance.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting or payroll software.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and solve problems.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Additional experience that's a plus:

• Multi-state or international payroll.
• Nonprofit accounting.
• Paycom or Blackbaud software.
