Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all office areas.
- Handle cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and chemical sprayers safely and effectively.
- Maintain sanitation standards by properly handling chemical agents and following safety protocols during cleaning procedures.
- Conduct floor care activities including buffing, polishing, and applying protective coatings to ensure floors remain in optimal condition.
- Restock supplies in restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure availability of essentials for staff and visitors.
- Follow safety procedures for manual handling of heavy cleaning equipment or supplies to prevent injuries.
- Assist with light facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall building upkeep.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and proper handling of chemical agents.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and other custodial tools safely and efficiently.
- Experience with heavy lifting and safe lifting practices to manage supplies or equipment without risk of injury.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary.
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to chemical handling safety procedures and facilities maintenance.
