Duties
- Monitor inmate behavior through CCTV surveillance systems to prevent disturbances and ensure safety.
- Conduct routine inspections of living areas, common spaces, and security perimeters to uphold facility standards.
- Enforce rules and regulations by supervising inmate activities, including meal times, recreation, and work assignments.
- Respond swiftly to incidents or emergencies using conflict management techniques, CPR, or first aid as needed.
- Write detailed reports documenting daily activities, incidents, and disciplinary actions with clarity and accuracy.
- Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or external visits by providing necessary support and information.
- Maintain security protocols by controlling access points, verifying visitor identities, and managing entry logs.
Skills
- Proficiency in CCTV operation for continuous monitoring of facility premises.
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and experience in security or military settings is highly desirable.
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and first aid to respond effectively during emergencies.
- Strong conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations calmly and professionally.
- Excellent report writing abilities for accurate documentation of incidents and daily activities.
- Ability to enforce rules firmly while demonstrating fairness and respect for all individuals.
