The AS serves as the primary resource for management of production for time-intensive design and drawing and modeling tasks, this can be for the accounts, projects, and teams that they are assigned. This position is intended to be the next stop for employees seeking professional licensure and provides the opportunity for the individual to experience project and account management at a higher level, while still broadening the knowledge base of engineering design.

Primary Duties
- Account Management
- Initial point of contact for Central Processing, Customer Service, and the Client on the needs of day-to-day drawing and modeling tasks
- Forecast and follow through regarding weekly site-specific goals and expectations in collaboration with PM
- Review all Construction Documents for assigned Accounts/Clients, providing quality control and education opportunities for Designers using company provided/documented standards
- Construction Administration Services
- Field calls, RFI’s, generate solutions and issue revisions and addenda under the supervision of the PM
- Drafting, Design, and Plan Development
- Prepare Construction Documents under the oversight and direction of PM
- Contribute to product development via delegated tasks in collaboration with PM
- Direct Design support for varying single and multi-family projects under the direction of PM
- Spearhead design tasks across varying market sectors and construction means/materials/methods
- Performs preliminary wind load design for coordination with delegated design of pre-manufactured building components, under the direction of PM
- Research and evaluate new/alternative products to valuate template program alternatives.
- Review and evaluate building codes and product specifications.
- Advanced design opportunities are available at the discretion of the PM
- Project Tracking and Communication
- Maintain log of work performed
- Effectively track time and job status to maintain efficient workflow
- Efficient and competent use of project tracking software
- Report to and communicate effectively with PM & Clients regarding project status
- Team Management, Mentoring and Training
- Contribute to mentoring and training on software, Client, and account standards
- Report to and communicate effectively with manager regarding mentorship and training efforts
- At the direction of the PM or PDM, distribute and provide quality control for design tasks to designer pool
- Use available resources efficiently and effectively
- All other assigned duties
Knowledge
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, on track for professional licensure
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced Knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit/Applicable Discipline Specific software
- Advanced knowledge of ability to prepare Construction Documents
- Intermediate knowledge of various construction techniques and the Building Code
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Deltek experience preferred
- Ability to communicate knowledge to Designers
- Provide leadership through collaboration on the development of Designers
- Excellent organizational ability
- Strong attention to detail and ability to execute with a high level of accuracy
- Excel at meeting deadlines by utilizing good communication and prioritization skills
- Thorough and precise with assigned tasks
- Willing and helpful nature
- Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with employees & clients
- Proficiency in English Language, reading, spoken, and written
