Summary
The Logistics Group Leader 2nd Shift is responsible for leading logistics staff and ensuring appropriate coordination of internal logistics between internal and external customers.
What You'll Do
Lead, motivate, develop and plan the Manpower for internal logistics and shipping activities.
Support the needs of the department via the Warehouse Management Software
Responsible for activating and distributing work assignments utilizing Automated Storage and Retrieval System to achieve quality, on time delivery at the lowest cost.
Monitor daily workload and adjust manpower as required. Participate and ensure all end of day activities are complete.
Responsible to support continuous improvement of Processes, Procedures and Manuals Ensure continued training / cross training to all employees.
Ensure all department equipment and tools are in good working condition.
Maintain appropriate department files, keep a neat and organized shipping work area.
Maintain a full level of staffing. Hold daily / weekly team meetings.
Take inventory and cycle count according to stock policy. Identifying inventory discrepancies as they occur Responsible for Training and administration
Motivating employees to meet deadlines, objectives and goals outlined by Belimo.
Conduct employee appraisals and create target agreements with subordinates.
Report problems with machines and equipment
Manage TO release strategy as outlined in the process instruction document.
Management of the receiving and dock efforts by teaching and following established Belimo SOP’s.
Spot check staffs work and ensure Belimo quality standards are met.
Promote and enforce forklift safety practices and documentation
Who You Are
Associate degree or higher in Business or Logistics
Proficient Computer skills
3 years supervisory experience
Background in Manufacturing preferred
Ability to communicate both verbally in a professional demeanour.
Deal with time constraints and deadlines; skills with manipulating multiple priorities; self-motivated; sense of urgency.
