The Technical Training and Laboratory Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the Technical Training Academy and Consumables Lab through the delivery of technical training classes, performance of consumable product testing, and maintenance of training/lab machines. This position serves primarily as an instructor for scheduled training classes while ensuring the associated equipment remains fully operational, properly configured, and prepared for use. In addition, this role supports consumables testing activities and maintains accurate testing documents and logs.

This position is based onsite at the Training Academy in Ladson, South Carolina.

Technical Training Responsibilities (50%):

• Serve as the primary instructor for technical training classes.
• Prepare training materials, tools, classroom, and equipment prior to scheduled training events.
• Upload training evidence and maintain participant training records within the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Assist with development and continuous improvement of training materials.

Laboratory Operations and Consumables Testing (30%):

• Coordinate with consumables team to support testing activities using lab equipment.
• Operate lab equipment to perform testing activities while documenting results using laboratory logs, spreadsheets, and other digital tools.
• Support proper setup, configuration, and operation of laboratory equipment required for testing.

Equipment Maintenance (20%):

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain training and lab equipment.
• Ensure all training and lab machines, including their associated utility services, remain fully functional and prepared for upcoming training classes and laboratory use.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent related work experience
• Technical experience (3 – 5 years) troubleshooting and repairing electromechanical, industrial, or medical equipment.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to lead classroom instruction and hands-on technical training activities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting operational needs.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also working effectively within a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Proficient computer, documentation, and organization skills.
• Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites in the US
