Responsibilities
- Conduct pawn transactions by appraising items, offering fair loans, and documenting all dealings accurately.
- Assist customers with retail sales, including product demonstrations and upselling to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain knowledge of store merchandise and product features to provide expert advice and answer customer questions.
- Operate POS systems and cash registers efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and retail math calculations with precision.
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store is clean, inviting, and well-merchandised at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette and in person, ensuring every visitor feels valued.
- Support inventory management through stocking products, conducting stock counts, and assisting with merchandising efforts.
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail sales transactions.
- Supervising experience or leadership roles within retail or pawn environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers.
- Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and product demos to enhance sales opportunities.
- Excellent phone etiquette for engaging with customers remotely or over the phone.
- Experience in grocery store or retail environments is beneficial for understanding customer needs and store operations.
