What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Crew Member position at Believers Church?
Hub 757 hosts a variety of events such as weddings, business meetings and seminars, social gatherings, trade shows, etc. and is also home to a full-time day school as well as a nondenominational church. This position will set up tables and chairs before events and take them down after events transitioning the space for the event.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, driven, flexible and work well in a team setting. Must be motivated to provide the highest level of quality work. The position requires part time availability to work evenings Monday thru Friday and Saturday nights, as well as some Sunday afternoons. Unless requested, an employee is not scheduled every weekend or every day each weekend they are scheduled to allow the employee flexibility.
Job Duties & Tasks:
- Follow directions issued by Facility Manager
2. Set up tables and chairs in room being rented
3. Communicate with team members to ensure set up is being done as stated on set up form
4. Tear down tables and chairs after an event and put away
5. Follow reset instructions to prepare the space for the next day
6. Sweep and mop, take out trash, and wipe tables down
Job Requirements:
- Must be available to work weekends, late hours and midafternoons on Sundays
- Consistent punctuality and attendance
- Maintain equipment and materials used throughout the shift
- Lock and unlock doors, activate the alarm system
- Must be able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and professional manner
- Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
- Regularly required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, sit, walk, stand, and lift at least 50 pounds
- Background check required
