What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at BELIEVE PEDIATRIC PHYSICAL THERAPY LLC?
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our intensive therapy team. As a Physical Therapist, you will work with patients in our intensive therapy and/or traditional therapy clinic to help them improve their independent mobility and reach their functional goals. Your expertise in NDT handling, Therasuit, DMI, and other pediatric handling skills will be essential in providing effective treatment and improving the quality of life for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' medical history and perform physical examinations
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
- Implement therapeutic exercises and techniques to improve mobility, strength, and coordination
- Provide specialized therapy, including Therasuit, Universal Exercise Unit, NDT, DMI, TMR, and more (we will train you and help with continuing education as needed)
- Educate patients and parents on home activites
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist
- Strong knowledge of pediatric development - Experience working with pediatric patients
- Experience with Therasuit, DMI, NDT, and other specialized techniques a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
