Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and entering complex journal entries, managing assigned financial reports, conducting extensive account analysis, and driving process improvements. This position offers significant autonomy and works under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- General Ledger: Prepare, review, and input complex general ledger journal entries.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts, investigate variances, and implement permanent solutions to prevent recurring issues.
- Audit Support: Prepare precise audit deliverables to support external financial statement audits.
- System Integrity: Monitor and balance accounting systems to ensure completeness, accuracy, and data integrity.
- Financial Analysis: Prepare comprehensive balance sheet analyses, financial statement disclosures, and various monthly reports.
- Special Projects: Lead and execute special financial projects and team initiatives as directed.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Experience: 3–5 years of related accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of GAAP and the ability to apply its principles practically.
Preferred Attributes
- Industry Experience: A background working within a construction company is highly preferred.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks, advanced Excel, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Access).
