What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Groundskeeper position at Belding Area Schools?

Qualifications:
- · Must be a high school graduate
- · Must have competency in spelling, writing, and basic English language skills
- · Must have a valid driver’s license
- · Operate lawn mowers, zero turn mowers, edgers, leaf blowers and hedge trimmers.
- · Maintain grass cutting equipment, sharpen mower blades, change oil and hydraulic fluids.
- · Pesticide certification preferred
- · Must be physically fit and able to lift 80 to 100 pounds on a regular basis
- · Must be able to operate grounds equipment such as farm tractor, lawn sweeper, sprayer, truck, etc.
- · Must be able to work from and off ladders and scaffolding
- · Positive working relationships with students, staff, parents and the community
Essential Duties:
The Groundskeeper shall serve under the direct supervision of the Director of Facilities and shall be responsible for the following specific duties:
- Grounds – Maintaining yards
- Equipment repair
- Perform other related duties as directed by the Director of Facilities
