Qualifications:
- Pursuant with State of Michigan Student Safety Legislation, all prospective hires must provide fingerprinting and background check results to the District prior to employment.
- CDL licensing, drug/alcohol testing, physical examination, school bus driver certification classes.
Essential Duties:
The employee shall serve under the direct supervision of the Transportation Coordinator and shall be responsible for the following:
- Pick up and drop off passengers as designate locations
- Follow a planned route or drive to a requested destination
- Obey traffic laws and state and federal transit regulations
- Follow procedures to ensure passenger safety
- Help passengers, including those with disabilities, get into and out of the vehicle
- Keep transportation director informed of possible delays
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
