What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Specialist position at Belden Brick & Supply?
Belden Architectural Elements seeks an energetic, organized person to join the Operations team at its Distribution Center in Comstock Park. The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for the successful handling of the day-to-day operations of our inventory in our Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo locations. In addition to the specifics below, we are looking for someone who is a self-starter, willing to learn, and be part of a great team. This role offers opportunities for advancement, based on performance.
Specific Responsibilities:
Manage proper stock inventory levels, maintaining specific parameters and replenishment details in the ERP system.
Manage and execute physical inventory.
Assist the Yard Team in the movement and organization of inventory.
Manage the proper process of inbound and outbound inventory by assisting in the receiving process and verifying correctness in material leaving the yard.
Assist in the warehouse equipment management and coordination of maintenance checks.
Comfortable working with customers and processing orders periodically.
Periodic travel to our Kalamazoo location.
Primary Qualifications:
Savvy with computer systems, open and comfortable using new programs.
Experience using an inventory management system or ERP sales ordering systems, a plus.
Experience working in a warehouse or yard-related position desired.
Effective communication skills, organized with attention to detail and follow-up.
Able to work Monday – Friday, 7am -5pm.
