What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employment Specialist position at Belco Works Inc.?
Make a difference every day by helping adults and young adults with developmental disabilities build skills, confidence, and meaningful employment by being a coach, mentor, and advocate. This position provides both group and individualized instruction and assists individuals in identifying and securing competitive or supported employment opportunities. The Employment Specialist will help support individuals in reaching independence through employment.
The Employment Specialist will observe, evaluate, and document individuals’ performance, skills, and behaviors in a timely and accurate manner. The role includes preparing progress reports, communicating training outcomes, and assisting individuals in overcoming personal, social, or behavioral challenges that may impact their employment success.
May be required to transport individuals. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds. Must have a high school diploma, a driver’s license, reliable transportation, and pass a background and drug test.
Position is part-time, Monday through Friday, and may include evening or weekend job coaching.
