What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Health & Safety Specialist II position at Belcan?
Job Description:
* Conduct new Hire Training
* Conduct EHS Training, Audits / Assessments for JSA, LOTO, PPE and other safety requirements
* Safety Committees - Organize and run the committee meetings
* Support in the approval of work permits to employees and contractors
* Manage the maintenance to emergency and fire protection equipment (hoses, fire extinguishers, spill kit, etc.)
* Help Exceed site goal, near misses/hazard reports by administering the program.
* Assist with 5S documentation and audits
* Conduct Emergency Drills
* Update Site communication boards daily / Weekly / monthly
* Manage chemical inventory system.
* Support PSSRs and MOCs
* Incident reporting - Enter data into database, liaise with corporate EHS, lead investigations and root cause analysis.
Requirements
* Minimum education High School Graduate
* Operations experience/ EHS experience preferred.
