Description Essential Functions:
* Perform precision mechanical inspections from dimensioned drawings using calipers, micrometers, surface plate, height gages, gage blocks, gage pins, optical comparator, toolmakers microscope, coordinate measuring machine, and other standard inspection equipment.
* Perform visual inspections of electronic assemblies using microscopes & magnifiers.
* Perform first article inspections and generate detailed reports when required.
* Communicate discrepant findings verbally and via written discrepancy reports to Supplier Quality Engineers/Technicians (SQE/SQT).
* Independently perform source inspection at local suppliers.
* Participate in MRB meetings to support SQE/SQT"s.
* Accurately maintain records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures
* Identify equipment needs for jobs requiring new or custom metrology tools.
* Identify Dock to Stock (DTS) candidates per established procedures. Present nominations to SQE.
* Work closely with buyers, planners, design engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers and program leadership.
* Support SQE/SQT with routine supplier audits when required.

Basic Qualification:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Qualification:
* Experience maintaining records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures
* IPC-A-610 Certification
* Hexagon CMM certification (PC-DMIS software)
* Keyence Vision system programming experience
* Optical lens inspection experience
