- Supply Scheduling
- Order raw materials, including raw ingredients and packaging to ensure availability at the right time.
- Create purchase orders for all purchased supplies manufactured in or outside America.
- Prepare and maintain documentation and reports. Identify and communicate supply chain opportunities/issues/recommendations to the Supply Chain Manager.
- Collaborate with Inventory Control to ensure appropriate plant stocking levels and appropriate order levels.
- Responsible for obsolete materials and managing obsolesce processes.
- Collaborate with Quality throughout the Supplier Corrective Action process to ensure communication and coordination with suppliers. Track and resolve material non-conformances with quality department and coordinate disposition and return of materials.
- Monitor and be heavily involved in projects related to graphics, packaging, raw materials, etc.; collaboration with purchasing related to vendor management and related challenges; involved in various initiatives impacting plant production; participate in commercialization meetings to stay abreast of changes and initiatives.
- Production Reconciliation
- Reviews daily production paperwork for completeness; assesses down time and reviews material and ingredient usage.
- Updates SAP based on production on a daily/weekly basis and adjusts production order status in SAP, as necessary. Completes all goods movements against production orders in SAP. Also performs the TECO (Technical Completion) of all production orders and adjusts production order handling units, as required.
- Calculates inventory usage numbers for all production orders. Performs inventory reconciliations in SAP as required, including coordinating cycle counts, as needed.
- Manages the open order report through COOIS, including daily resolution of any entries.
- Manages the COGI Errors and Confirmations
- Completes monthly review and informs accounting of any discrepancies.
- Assists all departments with questions concerning SAP functions. Creates detailed instruction sheets for SAP transactions, as required.
- Master Data (back up)
- Coordinates, gathers data and submits requests to Corporate Master Data Group for new item creation (Basic data and Classification data). Requires regular meetings and close working relationships with the Marketing Departments of the various brands.
- Works with Production Departments to create and maintain accurate Operational BOMs, Routes and Production Versions used for production order creation.
- Ensures integration of new items into the Forecasting and Production Scheduling System.
- Analyzes reports to identify non-compliant data and problem solves findings.
- Acts as a back-up and resource to support other Production and Supply Chain roles, including Production Scheduling Coordinator, Master Data, Supply Planning, Production Coordinator.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Safety, Environmental and Quality
- Follows all safety rules and procedures by working safely and ensuring safety of others.
- Follows all environmental protocols as applicable to the job.
- Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices as stated within the policy.
- Follow all food safety procedures.
- Maintains a sanitary and safe work area; performs housekeeping duties as necessary and/or required.
- Detects potentially hazardous conditions and problems and takes appropriate action to report and/or correct.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of supply chain or manufacturing experience required.
- Must have excellent organization skills, communication skills and ability to work with suppliers in a cross functional environment.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills.
- Computer skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required and familiarity with SAP preferred. Knowledge of importing supplies from Europe is a PLUS, as is knowledge of Import/Export regulations.
- Understanding of the overall industrial and supply chain complexity and links.
- Ability to establish professional and good working relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
