This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in service, presentation, and working closely with both residents and staff.
Position Overview
The Dining Coordinator assists in the daily production of resident meal services, food preparation, tray assembly, and cleanup while adhering to state standards, regulations, and facility policies. This is a full-time position that works in conjunction with production kitchen duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with serving meals and snacks in accordance with planned menus, diets, and procedures
- Support food preparation, tray assembly, and kitchen operations
- Maintain an outstanding resident dining experience through attention to detail
- Plate and garnish meals to create an inviting dining atmosphere
- Act as a liaison between kitchen staff and floor staff
- Respond to resident needs with professionalism, courtesy, and care
- Perform and maintain inventory control and assist with food ordering as assigned
- Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and temperature control
- Follow all safety, sanitation, infection control, and Universal Precautions
- Inspect dining room setups for cleanliness and neatness
- Deliver supplies to buildings as needed
- Attend required in-services and trainings
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous hospitality and/or food service experience preferred
- ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with varying temperatures
