Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver/Operator to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks and trailers to deliver freight efficiently and reliably. Your expertise will ensure timely load & unload operations, route driving, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions.
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels.
• Follow designated routes for delivery and pick-up, maintaining accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean driving record and uphold safety standards during all aspects of vehicle operation.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight delivery across various trailer types such as refrigerated units, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks.
• Strong knowledge of manual transmission operation and tractor-trailer handling techniques.
• Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when necessary.
• Excellent route planning skills with a focus on timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols.
• Experience with load securement methods for different types of freight including roll-off containers or tanker loads.
