Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mason to join our dynamic construction team. As a Mason, you will be instrumental in shaping durable, high-quality structures by working with various materials such as brick, stone, concrete, and other masonry products. Your expertise will contribute to a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, and renovation sites. Responsibilities
- Construct and repair structures using bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials with precision and care
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Mix and pour concrete for foundations, walls, and other structural elements while maintaining quality standards
- Install rebar reinforcement to provide structural strength for concrete forms and other constructions
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely and effectively on construction sites
- Perform finishing tasks such as troweling, caulking, plastering, stucco application, and tile laying to achieve smooth surfaces
- Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, electricians, and other tradespeople to coordinate project phases during renovation or new builds
Skills
- Strong knowledge of masonry techniques including concrete forming, rebar installation, stucco application, and tile laying
- Experience reading blueprints and schematics accurately for precise construction work
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels as well as power tools like saws and drills
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when required for large-scale projects
- Skilled in construction estimating to assist in project planning and material procurement
- Familiarity with metal stud framing, trim carpentry, roofing systems, restoration work, and heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Excellent understanding of safety protocols on construction sites to ensure a secure working environment
