Mastercam Programmer

Hours – 9am – 6pm or 10am- 7pm, flexible.

$3,000 signing/retention bonus

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD/CAM Programmer with strong Mastercam experience to support our CNC machining operations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in programming for lathes and mill-turn centers, with a preference for familiarity with Autodesk Inventor. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient, accurate, and high-quality production in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for milling, turning, and mill-turn equipment.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and accuracy.
• Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and GD&T specifications.
• Select tools, define setup sheets, and document processes for repeatability.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and continuously improve cycle times and process reliability.
• Manage and maintain the integrity of CAD/CAM files and documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proficiency in Mastercam (version 2022 or later) for CNC lathe and mill programming.
• Minimum 2 years of CNC programming experience.
• Strong knowledge of machining operations and cutting parameters.
• Experience working with technical drawings and 3D models.
• Hands-on understanding of lathe and mill-turn machine functionality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software.
• Programming experience for mill-turn centers, especially Okuma MULTUS or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with G-code, post-processor editing, and custom macros.
• Background in precision machining with tolerances as tight as ±0.0005".
• Prior work in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
• Prior use of Vericut for toolpath verification and collision detection.
