What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafeteria Team Member position at Behlen Mfg. Co.?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Practice safe working habits and follow safety procedures, policy and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
· Ability to work towards continuous improvement of product quality and lead and execute continuous improvement projects
· Operate equipment such as wrappers, garbage disposals, scales, slicers, convection ovens, mixers, etc.
· Monitor product quality, including all ingredients, by size, color and freshness to ensure the best quality finished product
· Read and follow recipes
· Accurately measure ingredients and products
· Follow safe food handling guidelines whenever preparing food, according to S.A.F.E. program standards
· Lift filled containers and place on cart
· Check in deliveries
· Keep work area neat and sanitary by using company approved cleaners and equipment
· Work together as a team and ensure product is always fresh, quality and consistent
· Responsible for any other tasks as needed/assigned by Team Leader.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Basic reading and math skills
· Strong people skills and leadership ability
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Self-starter
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Must be willing to be flexible regarding work schedule
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
Physical setting:
- Quick service & fast food restaurant

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
